Troubleshooting

I can't change a transaction in a closed period

Why WizeBooks asks for a password when you edit something dated in closed books.

When your books are closed through a date (see Period Close), WizeBooks protects everything dated on or before it, so reports you've already filed or shared don't change.

  • If you have the close password, WizeBooks asks for it and then lets the change through. The change is recorded in Activity.
  • If you don't, ask the person who closed the books (often your accountant) to make the change or reopen the period.
