Getting started
Create your company
The five questions WizeBooks asks when you set up a company, and what each one changes.
After you sign up, WizeBooks walks you through a short wizard. Use Next and Back to move between the steps; nothing is saved until the last one.
1. Tell us about your business
- Company Name, Entity Type (for example LLC or S corporation), Industry and Team Size, and optionally the company's EIN for your 1099s (you can add it later in Company Profile).
- How do you generate income? Services, products or both. This shapes the starting chart of accounts.
2. How do clients contact you?
Email, Phone, Website and Address. These print on your invoices and estimates, and you can change them later in Settings › Company.
3. Accounting info
- What is your Accounting Method? Cash or accrual. Reports open on this basis, and you can switch any report to the other one.
- Fiscal Year Start: the month your financial year begins.
- Do you collect sales tax?
4. Where are your books today?
Tell us whether you're starting fresh or coming from another tool. If it's QuickBooks Online, see Import from QuickBooks.
5. Choose a plan
Pick Starter, Pro or Enterprise. Every plan is free for the first three months, and you can change plan any time from Settings › Subscription.
When you finish, WizeBooks creates the company with a ready-made chart of accounts and opens the Dashboard.
