    WizeBooks is open

The first public release of WizeBooks.

    New

    • Bank feeds from 12,000+ banks and card issuers, with bank rules that categorize transactions for you, and Auto-post for rules you trust.
    • Reconciliation for every bank and card account.
    • Invoices, estimates and sales receipts, each with its own link your customer can open to view it.
    • Sign-in protection: a sign-in from a new device, or more than 300 miles from where you usually sign in, needs a code we email you. With two-factor on you get an alert email instead. See every sign-in from the last year, with location, device and IP address, in Profile settings.
    • Request W-9: email a vendor a secure link to fill in or upload their W-9. It's filed in Documents and fills in their tax ID and address where those are blank. Tax IDs are stored encrypted and shown as the last four digits.
    • 1099s: map expense accounts to 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC boxes, see what each 1099 vendor was paid in the year and what's missing to file, and send W-9 requests in bulk. Prepare 1099s saves each vendor's forms and prints 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC recipient, payer and state copies on plain paper or onto the official IRS forms, Copy A included, with a test sheet to line up your printer. Two new reports: 1099 Contractor Summary and 1099 Transaction Detail.
    • Mileage: log business and personal trips by vehicle, with odometer readings or miles, purpose and customer. The deduction is worked out at the IRS standard rate for each trip's date, and Book mileage reimburses each driver with their own bill or expense, or posts the owner's deduction to Owner's Contributions. Vehicles the company pays to run are logged without the mileage rate. Two new reports: Mileage Summary and Mileage Log. On the Pro and Enterprise plans.
    • Import customers, vendors and products from a CSV or Excel file, with a sample file to start from and a row-by-row report of anything that couldn't be added.
    • Email statements to one customer or many at once: the balance and every open invoice with a pay link, and the full statement attached as a PDF.
    • Refund a customer credit by check, bank transfer, card or cash, from a credit memo or an overpayment.
    • Transfers between your own accounts from the + menu.
    • Reports, from the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet to KPI dashboards, with period, comparison and filter settings on every report.
    • Retained Earnings worked out for you, as in QuickBooks Online: the Balance Sheet shows earlier fiscal years' profit as Retained Earnings and this year's as Net Income, with no year-end entry to post. The Trial Balance and Chart of Accounts match.
    • QuickBooks Online import, with every month's totals checked against QuickBooks. The docs walk through each step with screenshots.
    • Inventory on the Pro and Enterprise plans, with assemblies, parts and bundles on Enterprise.
    • Accountant workspace: one inbox and one login across all your clients' companies.
    • Phone layout with a bottom menu bar (Overview, Sales, Purchases and Accounting, with the Dashboard in the middle) and card lists built for small screens.
    • Settings menu lists every section down the left, then Help, What's new, Feature requests and Logout, with your WizeBooks version at the bottom.
    • Notification emails in your Profile, set company by company, so accountants and people in several companies choose for each one. Custom roles choose which notification emails their people can get, and an email about a part of the app a role hides is never sent to it.
    • Editable Member and Accountant roles: owners and admins on Pro and Enterprise can narrow the built-in Member and Accountant roles for their company, part by part and email by email. Edited roles are marked Edited, Reset to default gives full access back, and you're warned when an Accountant would lose what they need to close the books.
